Blue Black Bay on Metal or Leather

The new Blue Black Bay seems to have held its own against the original red in a poll posted earlier. Most people also seemed to agree there that the Blue looks best on the metal bracelet, not the blue leather. If you were buying the Blue, which would you choose? (please ignore the NATO style band on the left, you get that with both versions). I suspect overwhelming support for the metal to be forthcoming, but who knows....

Metal for the midnight blue all day long whereas I feel the red BB looks good on straps. Although I bet the blue looks great on a speedbird nato. The metal just looks right on this model.

The blue leather cheapens the look IMHO and would only be appropriate if you had a nice pair of blue leather shoes to somehow complete the look.

Looks good on metal. Too bad that bracelet has edges like razor blades...

Interesting question, Adam. For me the bracelet, without any doubt.

Steel........or a grey NATO......or an Isofrane strap.

Yeah, metal. I don't like the blueish letter. I'd think it would look pretty sweet on an Isofrane, like Bob said, or in a rubber strap like the Pelagos'.

If I get it, it'll be on bracelet, but I will try various leather straps on it; just not the included blue leather one.

for the red, i can see arguments for both, but, for the blue, it's steel all the way, IMHO.

Steel. Too much vintage throwback with a leather strap on a diver.

Bracelet! I dislike the coloring in the leather. Should have left just plain leather.

Obviously get the metal but when you want a change go for leather. There is no reason to just have one and not the other.
Tudor makes a very good quality bracelet.

By the way is this model in the shops as yet?

Blue on steel.

The red BB does look pretty good on the distressed leather.
