Unsized GMT?

Good morning everybody!

I'm looking at new and used GMTs. What does 'unsized' mean? Once it's sized you cannot change it anymore?

Thank you for your help and sorry for my ignorance!

Hi ale70. This probably means all links are in place and none have been removed for a particular sized wrist. In some words...as it comes from an AD...To size, you will remove links according to the wrist size you have. It can be changed with a small screwdriver.

Correct, unsized simply that it's never been "sized" for anyone before. You'd be the first!

of course it is a questionable claim… difficult to tell if it has been resized and then restored to original unless the guy with the screwdriver was rather careless.

if it has been resized, ie a link being removed, you will often notice the screws satin finish will not line up with the bracelets satin finish after reinstallation…. but that can be easily remedied by a quick passing refinish.

Or it's had the crap worn out of it by someone with really large wrists.
