Owners who have damaged your watch

I am about to buy my first rolex. More than likely a 116610 as I like the look and they're supposed to be the ultimate sport watch. I am borderline abusive. I swim, shoot guns, chip ice, run, wrestle with my dog, hike, etc and Usually forget to take my watch off at the gym.

Has anyone broken their watch? And if so, what kind and how?

My Sub was my only watch for nearly 20 years. Wore it working (bars and restaurants), playing with dogs, motor biking, doing DIY, skiing, sailing, and everything else. The watch was certainly not treated gently. The most damage I ever managed to do was to chip the sapphire glass, and that was about 15 years in.

Go for it, and don't worry.

I've never "broken" a watch, but the Sub can surely handle any of the activities you listed.
Congrats in advance!

My story is almost exactly the same with a sub as well. Still wear it all the time and runs great!

It will stand up to all that and more. Just don't drop it on a ceramic floor.

Rolexes are durable and tough, you can do just about an activity with a Rolex.

I banged my first Sub around a ton with many years of abuse and it came back looking new after being serviced at Rolex..
