Rolex pocket knife

Anybody got one?

My son and I attended The Explorers Club Annual Dinner in NYC on Saturday night. Rolex is a long time corporate sponsor, and many of the people featured in Rolex ads are members and were present. Each of the attendees was given a gift bag with a small Rolex pocket knife in it. It was a nice surprise.

No time to post photos because I am going to California tomorrow, but I can when I get back if anybody cares.

Sorry, no can do. Too many errands to run and we have to pack for the whole family. But the watch is a small Swiss army knife with a Rolex engraved brushed stainless steel case (not the green case you normally see).

By the way, it was a black tie affair and yes, we both wore Submariners with our tuxes. Since the dinner theme was a celebration of ocean exploration, I wore my TT Blue Submariner in honor of the deep blue sea. This was my 11 year old boy's first time in a tux, so I let him pick a watch from the collection. He chose the '66 5513 on a NATO band because "That's what James Bond wore." Is he my kid, or what? The apple did not fall far from the tree.

That's a fantastic post. I think we all secretly want a sub because it's what Bond wore. Really nice to read.

Cool gift!

It is the small green pocket knife with plastic surface or the bigger one in steel with "ROLEXROLEX" engravings on it?

A third version with more pointed (oval) ends was also made at a time (red and in metal).

Can't wait for the pics!

Ok, for you guys, anything. But only because I like to waste time, and just this once!

Cheers!

Sorry, no time to post photos from the dinner. Anyway, I think it's considered child abuse to make your kid eat a cricket, even if it's with an astronaut at a charitable event and Dad eats one first.

Now I am off to the kennel with the dog. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
