SDC vs. BLNR

Price difference is not HUGE btw C-Dweller vs. Batman. Both are such lookers... BLNR has had a head start in building a fan base. SDC releases are hitting most market and getting strong reviews... battle of the titans so who wins?

Quite different watches IMO. Both look great and you can't go wrong.
SDC wins for me because i don't really like cyclops.

Both great but a black diver with glidelock will lose very few battles. IMHO The only model that can beat the SD-C is the Sub-C. Cheers.

I can't speak for the planet, but for my purposes the 14060M is perfect and the BLNR will be another 21st Century style to join the 116200 63600 DJ.

That gives me two vintage, although young vintage, in the Sub and the 114270 Explorer and, of course, the DJ and the GMTII are current.

For me that's a very flexible range of watches. I could use a good chronometer and I'm all but certain it will be a Speedy Pro.

That should see me to my grave in good style and then I can work on some other things.

As a BLNR owner...

If you don't need the GMT function, get the SDc.

I love that new SDc.

Love them both, but if only one the BLNR is a more all rounder

Since you have a couple of Subs I'd probably go with a BLNR. I love the SDC though...

BLNR is an easy choice. It's cheaper, will be the classic GMT of the future (no normal people are willing to pay or nor can they afford the WG Pepsi), has all the water resistance a man would ever need, oh and you can track three time zones. No brainer in IMHO.

I agree with this. The 116610LN Sub is much less expensive than the new Sea Dweller so if you want all black get that. If you desire a splash of color and polished centre links (or if you fly more than you dive) get this:

Own DSSD and BLNR, not SD-C. I choose BLNR. If can only one Rolex watch, BLNR is it.

Sdc, no contest. Then again, I have no interest in a blue/black watch. But I'd much rather a 1675 or a 1665 then either

BLNR is my choice. There are better dive watches, but there is only one GMT.

The SDc is my marginal preference.

If it was a lucky dip and they were both in their boxes and I had to pick a box at random, I'd truly be happy with either.

Having not tried either on I have to reserve my judgement.
I would like to own both at some stage.

The BLNR is THE modern tool watch. How many people dive today? Not many (I know, I know, some still do). How many people deal with multiple time zones in a business environment? Exactly 1 gazillion people. Long term the GMT functionality and need grows. If I were Rolex and thought of the GMT from this perspective I'd probably redesign the GMT clasp exterior to make it desk-diving friendly for the next level of functionality and practicality. I bought a GMT for form and FUNCTION. I swim, but I don't dive, I talk between time zones daily (a lot to both eastern China and Europe) and I travel time zones monthly. The GMT is THE modern day Rolex tool watch. And the PLCs?... Yes they are part of the tool functionality that allows the watch to work in a business suit environment... Part of its tool pupose.
