6694 With Replacement Dial & Hands
Hi All,
I'm new to the forum and had a question about my current 6694 (1983). I've had it for 9 years and have been very happy with it. When I first acquired it, there was slight water seepage through a bad back case. The movement was undamaged but there was condensation behind the crystal. I sent to RSC and they came back saying that the hands and dial was damage and it should be replaced. By appearance it looked fine but I sent ahead to have them replaced anyways. Thinking it through now, I think the crystal was replaced also (I don't have the service record handy currently). I have no intentions of selling the piece but should I have to, how much of a hit would I be taking because of the replacement dial and hands. As mentioned, its a 1983 production watch, with papers, not the original box but a small box I suspect they gave out with servicing. You're thoughts are much appreciated. TIA! |
