Girlfriends Birthday Present!

Yesterday was my girlfriend Karens 31st birthday & this was the suprise I got her

She's always liked these so I thought I'd suprise her with one

It started a few weeks ago when i picked up my YG GMT II, I asked my AD if he could get her a new watch by yesterday, the 18th.

He phoned me last week to say he had one on his next delivery I could have but it wasn't due till the day of her birthday.

So yesterday lunchtime I got a call from him to say it was here, unfortunately there was no way I could get there to collect it

No problem he said, I'll bring it to you! So yesterday my AD gets in his car to drive the 70 mile round trip so Karen could have her present on her birthday

It came all nicely wrapped so that saved me a job & get this, I hadn't paid for it & he said don't worry, we'll sort it later!

For me, I'll never go to another AD for anything

The look on her face when she saw it was priceless

Enjoy the pictures, the wrist shots will come when it's been sized -

The Black face is mine, had it since last summer

Seriously, that is an amazing gift (and an amazing AD).

More and more ladies are loving the full size watches.... scares me!

You'll all know that my Sub hangs on a NATO now and again - my girlfriend likes it alot (Cringe...) Caught her the other day looking at cheapo pink straps at a luxury kids clothing boutique for my Sub... (Cringe harder)

No problem if she wears it but, only on a true NATO or ZULU or bracelet (which she isn't interested in)...

So, now I'm looking for girly looking NATOs or ZULUs

Point is, CONGRATS on that amazing gift - I might have to think of doing something similar (but, if its a Daytona - It's going my wrist first)... She can have the Sub.

I'm too scared to buy ANY watch for my girlfriend (without her input) let alone a full-size Daytona. It's too bad, as a surprise is always best; but think of the personal horror of seeing a less than elated expression on her face when she gets a SS DAYTONA??

I want my GF to like a TT YM with a blue dial. Just don't know if she will.

Thanks for all the nice comments

No plans for a Daytona Wedding picture yet, but who knows!

I wasn't worried about her not being happy with it, she's already got her own collection going -

Ladies SS Datejust
GMT II "Coke"
SS GMT IIc

It makes my gift to my wife on her 40th seem a bit less than generous.

The other one was hard for her to push.
