Rolex pepsi
I am interested in a Pepsi Rolex. Any advice regarding which is most desirable? For example the red submariner is very collectable. What is the Pepsi equivalent? Thanks for the advice.

Rolex pepsi
3186 16710, but only if you're WIS...
The equivalents as far as being vintage would be 1675 etc. I will leave it to more knowledgeable minds to give info on that topic. The most desirable is the one that sings to you though! |

More desirable all depends on who you are referencing. Vintage fans will like the older, untouched models while newer fans will want the 16710 with the 3186 movement.
Lots of variety among the Pepsi dials. Lug holes vs. no lug holes, type of lume, etc. Go with what you like the best. |

Hard to equate, but an early 1680 Red Sub with Mark 1 dial might be as desirable as a 6542 GMT Pepsi with a bakelite bezel insert.
But you really have to know what you're doing to find an authentic original of either one...

I'm happy with my 16700 (currently out for service). Here's some information from a thread on the model from the Reference section...

The GMT Pepsi equivalent to a 1680 Red Sub is probably a gilt dial 1675, but it's really apples and oranges. Also, a 16710 GMT wears/looks more like a modern Rolex, although that's changing over time, of course. You should first decide if you're looking for vintage or more modern, and then get the one that sings to you. Good luck in your search!

If you're going for modern I'd say get the latest 16710 you can find and keep it in minty condition. Then get every colour of insert and the Jubilee bracelet (Super Jubilee if you're as crazy as Dan ). Then you should be good for GMTs unless you like the ceramic or precious metal.
