If the 3185 became the 3186, could the 3135 become a 3136?
When Rolex modified the GMT-II/Exp-II 3185 movement with the BLUE parachrome spring, the new calibre became the 3186 movement.
So if Rolex do decide to modify the current 3135 movement with the BLUE parachrome spring if and when they come out with a modified and upgraded Sub, would that become the 3136 movement? Some food for thought, guys!! Cheers - JJ

Yes, that makes a lot of sense JJ. Quite a few people suspect that the Submariner might be upgraded this year--several AD's I've talked to in my area feel this change is imminent. Personally I would welcome it because I think Rolex did such a great job on the upgrade of the GMT II. Still, just as their always is, there is a defining silence from Rolex but thankfully Basel is soon upon us and we will finally know for sure.

maybe it has already happened??
What if the late model Sub Dates and Sea Dwellers were already being fitted with the BLUE parachrome spring like the GMT was before the release of the GMT IIc
Hey Bo - open up your new SD and let's take a look Sean

Yes, I think the "3136" movement is coming soon. But I'm happy with my 3135 and 3185.

I don't think the Cal. 3135 would become a Cal. 3136 since the "5" indicates that this is a calibre with date feature.

So when the 3185 became 3186, did the date disappear?

The point of my post is merely the changing of the calibre no. 3135 to 3136 with the introduction of the parachrome blue spring.
It has nothing to do with a second time zone which only comes with the 3185 or 3186 (with parachrome blue spring) GMT-II!!
