Least recognizable rolex?
I'm sorry if this has been done before, I did a search but it didn't show up so I thought of starting this thread... if my search skills prove to be that bad, please point me to the existing thread.
There's been a lot of talk about what is the most iconic and easily recognizable rolex... the ones that most people would recognize on your wrist as being a rolex even though they are not WIS types. Probably Sub or DJ. but how about the least recognizable? say if you don't really want people to notice and have preconceptions about you upon realising that you rock a rolex (i'm not saying everyone does this, but some do) and just want to remain low profile... what would be the rolex for that occasion? For me I think it will be the Milgauss. This, and that the design simply sings to me, are the reason I just got one |

I'd have to agree that it's the Cellini line. And, perhaps, the Milgauss.

anything with an oyster bracelet will immediately be recognized, it is the most copied bracelet style there is along with the sub bezel for most copied. Polished center links make it stand out more.
But the milgauss in white would be pretty hard to peg as a Rolex. That white dial with black lettering and the orange lightning bolt hand does not scream luxury or Rolex at all. The gv might be next, that green tint crystal just looks like a piece of glass and most would see that and just think bad fake Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk |

Anything not a Sub or a DJ... Just kidding... But seriously, for a lot of people the Sub or the DJ defines the brand.

Those with a brightly colored dial that have been covered by the likes of Invicta would prolly fly by most observers. For example, the Bluesy...

Cellini #1 and Milgauss #2 would be least recognizable. Have to agree too with an earlier comment regarding the Oyster bracelet, most specifically the SS, brushed style being highly copied and most recognizable for a Rolex. Very close, if not equal IMO, is the TT Jubilee bracelet.

I heard a story once where a person at Macy's watch section laughed at a guy wearing a Milgauss. She said, Rolex has never made a watch with an orange lighting bolt!
