Who's your out of state AD that will discount and ship?
Ok... I'm a newbie here and looking for my first watch. After reading here, i'm sold on getting a TT DJ but want to avoid greys and obtain one for peace of mind from an AD.
I see some ADs allow for discounts and some dont. Some will ship some dont. What I'm looking for is one that will discount and ship (needs to be out of state from Texas) so I can avoid Sale Tax. Are there any good internet deals that are ADs? Any good ones you have dealt with? Any comments or PM would be appreciated as I'm hurting to get one on my wrist soon! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Felly has a problem? FWIW, Felly coordinated a Rolex purchase between with his AD and me in the past, as soon as payment was made, they shipped my watch. Felly is a class act.

i have had no trouble with AD's shipping, HOWEVER, i have yet to find one that will sell you a rolex if you are not physically in their store. Once there, credit card in hand, they dont seem to care where they send the watch.
edit; Once my wife found a watch she wanted when she was travelling; they called me, i gave them my credit card, and then they shipped. But they even griped about that since i wasnt there and it was my credit card (but in the end they did it) |

Technically, AD's in the US are not supposed to discount and they aren't supposed to ship to you if you are not physically in the store to make the purchase. However, a couple of friends of mine visited an AD in Hawaii while on vacation and inquired about the LV Sub and they actually called them back. They would only ship to one of their stores in the their local area and they had to pick it up from the store. This happened on two separate times with two different friends for the LV Sub at the same AD.
On the subject of discounts, I think of you are buying an 18kt gold model, they may work the discount a little. If you are looking for a stainless sports model, good luck. |
