Who says Daytonas are hard to find?

At a gathering yesterday, we got together a few Daytonas amongst other Rolex and Tudor watches

No one says Daytonas are hard to find, that was 10 years ago! :-)

Great shot though! By the way, am I correct in that the black dial Daytona is much more coveted in Asia?

Black is definitively more in demand in Asia.

I just was looking at Daytonas at my local AD this morning. Unfortunately they did not have a Platona. I prefer the white dials myself, easier for me to read.

That's true. I got mine in Asia from an AD and the white dial was $500 cheaper.

Nice pic. But when 4 out of 5 are the same black dial, it kind of make them look dull.

I've been at 2 ADs on either end of Ohio in the past week. Both laugh when I ask about a SS Daytona. Is it harder to find than a PP Naitilus 5711? NO, but it's still tuff to find new at an AD. Also checked out the SD4000, it's just OK

They were artificially controlled several years ago mostly by misguided ADs, but never hard to find as your included photograph proves.
Nice shot/photo by the way.

I think it s a simple one just less demand than supply.
