Datejust 116234 white stick date colour question?
Dear members,
I am about to get a DJ 116234 white stick. Have been doing some research on this model. I notice some with red printed date and some with black printed date. I was told by an AD staff that the odd number is red and even is black. However further research from the website I noticed both odd numbers can be red and black. I am a little confused. Anyone owned one and care to share please. I took some pictures from other site for illustration here:- Thanks in advance for your sharing. |

Yes, the dates are either all black or alternating red/black (sometimes called
'roulette'). Rolex offers certain dials and date combos at different times; they change the available dials pretty often. For the last few years the plain stick dials (all white, black, blue) can be had with the red/black date wheel. Also, sometimes people will source a different dial or date wheel and switch them. You can find a pdf of the current dial catalog (google: "rolex dial pdf") and it'll say what's available right now. Older dealer stock (or used, of course) may have a different dial/date combo. I personally like the red/black; adds a little more interest. |

That's the roulette date wheel with this dial and Roman (I believe). I love it. Had that exact same DJ with the Oyster Bracelet. You'll love it.
Edit: This will help answer your question. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=107905
