Ok, I'm tired of searchin around... rolex 6062.....
Been given a cool gift, a rolex watch but i do not know much about watches.
Have been searching around all over but don't seem to be able to find a picture of the exact watch I have. Well I did find one site: http://www.mondayeshop.com/catalog/?d-389.html and that is exactly what the watch looks like. What can you tell me about this watch? Why is it so hard to find informations about it around or pictures and how much is it worth? P.S is it possible for this forum to be deleted once the discussion has ended? Seeing as it is a gift don't want the gifter to bump into this thread! |

Rolex Oyster ref 6062 with triple date and moon phases was produced 1950s and now quite rare and expensive. And looks nothing like that fake watch in your link, and please do not post links to fake watches. And all I can say is that you did not search very hard for Rolex 6062 information. Just one simple Yahoo search found several reference sites, and post some pictures of your watch as stated in my PM reply
Picture of a genuine Rolex 6062 below from net.

Right, I'm sorry I apologise but as I said that was the only image that looks exactly like my watch.
So how can you tell it's fake? I am certain mine isn't even though certain is a bit of a strong word, but in them little circles where it shows the month and what day it is and the moon phase my watch has some more little circles within it like circles within cirlcles within circles. The watch won't work unless you wear it, I mean it can go on workin for maybe 10 mins but you are supposed to wear it for it to work. Is there a genuine Rolex watch like the one in the picture i showed? or are they a complete fake without even any base on a genuine Rolex? |

How are we to tell if your watch is the real deal or not???
You need to post pics... preferably well-defined ones, please.

I don't know anything about these models but if, as you say, yours looks exactly like the one on the site of fakes then that should answer your question. They are going for 65.00 on that site.
You say it was given as a gift. Would this person give you a vintage Rolex worth tens of thousands?

I sent a message to space-dweller but i might awell ask here.
Can't you tell from the link that i provided above? My watch looks exactly like that except as i said them smaller circles have enless circles within circles in them. Except that the watch looks exactly the same, at the back it says some stuff amongst which Oyster and ref 6062. If those details arent enough then what pictures should i take. Space-Dweller mentioned well defined pictures, what does he mean exactly by that? Should I take about 4 pictures for each side? |

As stated in my PM:
"Hi Andrew, you would need to take some good and clear pics of your watch, preferably macro shots (close-ups). Take some pics of the back, too, please. We would like to help you but cannot possibly do so without having pics of YOUR watch, see?"

Sounds like you already have your answer. Concentric circles in the day/date subdials? The genuine Rolex 6062 has no day/date subdials as shown above. Follow advice and show some pics so you can get some actual evaluations vs speculation.

I was told it was 4 thousand pounds not 50k and it was bought 4 years ago.
I saw a watch which looks like this meaning those three little circles but it was a women version and it as on a rollex dealing website. Well what makes you sure of its fakenes? |
