Trade Two TT for Full Gold?

Hi All,

I'm currently the proud owner of both a TT DJII Ivory stick dial and a TT Bluesy Sub with Sunburst dial.

Unfortunately I have the gold bug and I have fallen for the 116618 LB.

Who thinks I should PX the two TT's for the full gold, plus £5000?

The only problem I see is that I enjoy wearing the DJII for work as it's more formal than the Sub, so not sure if I would miss this?

Thanks,

Dave

Do the trade and don't look back! A gold sub works as well in formal settings as it does with blue jeans!

A couple of years ago I floated the idea here of trading my 18kt bluesy for a TT bluesy and a TT Root Beer. That idea was shot down.
My only advise let your heart guide you and forget us.

Don't trade both. Just trade one if you really want to and go for the all gold. I wouldn't trade both unless you're trading for an All gold Sub with Blue or black dial or possibly a DD II

Personally I'd keep TT DJ II and trade the bi metal sub for an all gold sub.

If I had a Sub Blue sunburst dial you would have to pry it out of my cold dead hand to get it.
Hang on to wht you have.

I prefer the WG version to YG, but I'd do this trade regardless.

In your shoes, I'd trade both + cash for the 116618LB and get a SS DJ2.

I have the Hulk and am thinking of buying another Rolex, full YG: either a blue Sub or Daytona panda dial. I like the idea of having one watch of one metal (SS or TT), and another in a different metal. I may end up with a TT Dyatona or Bluesy, but will try to convince the wife the YG is best for our future

Absolutely. The 18k YG 116618-LB I think is the best looking Rolex ever made. Formal or casual, this watch goes with anything, and everything. The full gold really is special. You will never look back after getting one!

May I ask what prices you're going by? Where are you planning to sell the two you have? I'm in London too and thought it would be a lot less cash than £5000?

I'd keep the TTs over the all gold. In this case, less is more, IMHO.

Keep the tt DJ2 for daily wearer and trade the bluesy for the YG Sub. Best of both worlds!

Good luck!
