Cost for 2007/2008 "M" Submariner?
I'm new here on the forum. Can someone tell me what would be a fair price for a 2007/2008 M Submariner (specifically with the engraved "ROLEX" on the inside dial?) I know there's a wealth of information here, thanks in advance!

Search the sales section. You'll find many for sale and you can see the price range

Also factor in the cost of a service, if not already had one.

I'll quote what the trusted sellers are selling them for:
M Serial 14060, vg cond, $4999: M Serial 14060, excellent cond, $5250: M Serial 14060, seller says clasp has scratches, $4500: That's the no-date, so if that's what you were referring to, you're correct. But since the date outsells no-date substantially, I assumed OP was enquiring about sub date, and that's what *I* was referring to: M series 16610, $6250: M series 16610, $6250: M Series 16610 box/no papers $4999 M Series 16610, $5600: Z serial 16610s are in the mid-high 5s asking prices, M series are newer and will go for a bit more...heck, David SW has an A series (1998-2000), which is like a '98-'00 production run, in excellent condition for 5K right now: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=360692 So as I said: for the M series 16610s a bit more than you were saying, they're listing in the $5,500-$6K+ range right now for the most part. So answer is, it depends on which one OP was looking for.

Assuming they still made 2-tone watches at that point that will increase the cost over stainless.

You can find them for $5K with missing papers and/or not so great condition, but the range they're selling in on this forum and elsewhere is documented above. If you've got any links to an M series 16610 selling at $4.5K, feel free to post.

I've proven my point, you can find them for less than $6250. There are many places other than TRF to buy watches. As you know a lot of your "Trusted Sellers" on here sell on "Fleabay" also. I'm done with this point, OP good luck. As for Big Shooter I'll let him have the last word, seems he loves that....

Also, taking cheap shots like calling me "big shooter", whatever that means, is really uncalled for. This is a facts based discussion based upon a user asking for actually pricing information, sorry that the numbers don't seem to be on your side but that's no reason to be insulting.

It started with this flippant response. I do apologize for the name calling. My $4500 to 5000 was a bit low for the avg. consumer. I do feel like I said if you do your homework, and are patient you can be right around 5k. Plus or minus...

OP, a simple search with minimal effort of your own can yield your answers in less than 10 mins. Not to mention the satisfaction of researching yourself!
Appears he's lost interest anyway. Aside from that, this is yet another thread to be closed because of the petty bickering between individuals who can't just simply state a point without an attitude/name calling, and move on the proverbial high road. To disagree is perfectly fine, and is valued for a well rounded informational discussion, but simple nattering in disdain at one another is useless and disparaging on this forum. I'd expect our TRF membership to be above that.......
