$250,000 Damage

I could do some serious damage with a cool quarter million right now

Really digging this Daytona. Picture doesn't do it justice.

The Yachtmaster, Yachtmaster ii and the Milgauss White dial look fantastic in that 2nd pic. Really eye catching. Thanks for the photos!

This Daytona is strange. If it's a WG version it isn't the right bezel, but if it's a SS model it isn't the right dial.

Do you have an explanation ?

.

Except that we are talking about WG and not YG like on my picture (I don't have the representaion in WG or SS), here are the 2 variants of bezel for Daytona.

SS, TT and YG on Oyster use the right version (models 11652x), and WG/RG and YG on leather (11650x/11651x) use the left version

It's in the display window and it's actually YG (pretty sure, lighting makes it tough to tell). Gonna try to get better picture. The rep I buy from arrives soon. I'll get him to pull it. The red sub dials look amazing, especially with the red DAYTONA.

If it was SS it would be on my wrist. Gonna walk back over and get better photo. Their lighting jacks up photos.

I think that WG daytona is correct. I tried on one that looked just like it at Tourneau the other day; I think the bezel was WG but can't remember to be honest.

Love the PP 5990 especially. Eye-catching.

I think there is something off on that example in the photo, I think the bezel is not correct for a WG Datona, like Alpino has shown.

That is a 116520 with the WG Panda dial....unless someone put an SS bezel on the WG Daytona....think Rolex should have done this anyway on the SS!

It is the YG. Older discontinued model that they just still have, new at AD.

Why should it be discontinued? Itīs a standard 116528 with Panda dial.

My understanding is that they stopped making that dial, i didn't mean the model was discontinued. Also, I didn't realize that ADs don't raise prices if the version is no longer produced. It's still $29,500 while the newer YG versions are more. That's good to know. I told him if no one gets it by Sept I might be down. Just trying to get this badboy first.

I donīt think so as the black/white arab dial is still included in the current dial catalogue. But itīs the worst dial for a YG Daytona anyway together with steel. IMHO the only nice dials for a 116528 are black/champagne and blue arab. But Iīm a Daytona hater anyway.

Usually the prices arenīt raised if a certain reference has been discontinued completely, IIRC it has nothing to with the dial itself. For example, you can still find 118209s at 2012 prices at ADs.

I've seen an AD raise the price on a 16570 they had sitting in their showcase for four years whenever there was a price increase. It's nice to know the one you were at doesn't do it

29500$ was the price as of September 2010 for a 116528.

In may 2011 it went to 32000$ and to 34650$ during the last price increase in June 2012.

And yes this dial is still available for Daytona YG. Its name is "White/black arab" in the 2013/14 master dials catalog (page 59).

It looks yellowish as does the dial so pretty sure its the YG with correct bezel. I prefer the WG bezel numbers, shame they put this on the full YGs.
