Lug Holes Question

What year/series did Rolex start to use solid lugs as opposed to ones where you can see the spring bar holes? Specifically referring to GMT but dont know if thats relevant.

For Gmt2 (16710 only) transition in 2003. Gmt always had lug holes and Gmt2C never had lug holes.

Each model is a different story.
