New Watch- And it's all your fault.

Hello everybody.
I've been a bit over indulgent this week, and bought a new Explorer 1.
I had originally set my heart on a 1016, but realised that any out there are snapped up by people who have no intention of wearing them. I had convinced myself that the 114270 was in some way inferior, in quality and appearance, but of course that's just not true. It's a fabulous thing.
The whole thing was a pleasant experience at our local AD in Lichfield.
The young saleslady was so lovely, I nearly ended up buying several. And I even managed to get a reasonable discount.
When my old SD comes back from it's scale and polish, i'll try and send some pics.
Regards, and thanks for the help. John.

The Explorer 1 and your SD are going to feel so different. I hope that Rolex releases a 41mm Explorer 1, I would buy it. It is a beautiful watch, very clean and symmetrical, congrats.

John,

Congratulations on your Explorer

Now you just need a 14060 to complete the collection of non-cyclops Rolex

You have excellent taste

Regards,

J

Very perceptive of you Jay, the 14060 is the only other Rolex I would buy.
I must confess that the SD/ Sub (none date) is my favourite all time watch, and IMO, the best looking. I could just sit looking at mine for ages. But the Explorer compliments it, and is a little easier for me to wear.

Nice! I'm glad for you. It's a versatile watch, and my all time favourite (although there are runner ups).

Best,

A

Congrats...I must admit, just lately I've been keeping my eye out for a reasonable Expy 1, I like it's clean, simple lines.

Great watch.

Yep, now you have the best of both worlds... Nice complimentary choice to your SD. Of course, I could be jaded...

John,

Thanks for the compliment

I'd had a SD on my wrist for a good hour before I decided it was too top heavy for me. I passed up a really good deal knocking it back, too

Redemption came in the form of a COSC 14060M It is inevitable that you will have one Once you accept this fact you will feel completely vindicated after coming home from your AD with ANOTHER nice white Rolex box

I assume I will feel the same when I acquire an Explorer ... I don't have the budget at present, but it is inevitable (as is the GMT, Sub date, 5513 ... well, you get the picture)

Enjoy your new Rolex
