Running

Hey guys, I run pretty hard on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes, 5 days a week, and I usually have my watch on. I was wondering if it's okay to wear my 16610 with my arm swinging back and forth for that long everyday. Is it causing excessive wear and tear on the movement?

Yeah, it shouldn't really harm your Rolex. The built-in KIF shock protection system can cope with your jogging with your Rolex on.

Look most watches including Rolex as others have said have shock protection. What watches don't like is being dropped on to hard floor from around three feet high. Most accidents with watches occur in the bathroom, and can assure you your Rolex watch will be fine for all normal activities.Like diving one of the toughest environment known to man, and jogging, running, golf, and any other sports within reason.Over the many many years with Rolex and many other brands I have given them all quite a bit of abuse. But never had problem except for a pin failure and loosing a SD in the Red Sea,but that was not down to a fault with the bracelet or pin. That was down to almost 15 stone dangling by the bracelet over the side of a boat. And reading the many many posts on TRF and other forums, Rolex watches today sure do lead a very pampered life.

Your Rolex should be just fine. And your heart and body, even better!

does anyone know how long I have to wear the watch before it is fully wound? Or is simply wearing it not enough and it will never be fully wound unless I do it manually?

You need to spin around about 800 times each day.

I wear mine all day (take it off at night) and have never had a problem keeping it wound.

I usually don't wear it when I work out, so that is just usual day-to-day activities
