1- Pre-owned older Sea Dweller or older Sub Anniversary?
2- Good place to buy pre-owned?
3- Would you prefer to have original box and papers or no box or papers but receive 100% purchase price on a future upgrade?

1. Pick the watch you want to wear; I don't like green so my choice would be the SD.

2. Who knows ? Price and condition of the watch are the key to a good purchase

3. You can't wear "box and papers", but the chances that your watch will only be worth "100% of purchase price" is slim to none on either a Sub or SD, so that is a non-issue at purchase.

I thought I would love the Anniversary but then I found the green just NOT right for most occasions and flipped it right away. SD is a timeless classic you will never get tired of.

3- I prefer box/papers... It gives me paper trail to the watch .. I don't care what anyone says, having box / papers reduces the risk of buying a stolen watch and increases your ability to sell it down the road if needed.. Box/papers + watch always sell for more and faster.. Unless the watch is 30+ years old, I don't really see why it would be missing box/papers... Who buys a $4000+ watch and throws away the box and warranty papers? B&P reduces the risk that you're buying a shady watch... This is IMO of course..

Never had an issue with the green bezel looking out of place. The older LV sub was a relatively short production run of 7 years.

Both are great watches, only you can decide. I personally would want box and papers. There are plenty of LV Subs and SD's out there from good sellers that come complete.

SD; try your local AD for preowned first so you can get a hands on look on the watch. Always opt for the box and paperwork because you never know what you might want to trade it for in the future
