Icon3 Datejust II lume hands

Hi folks,

I've just got myself a pre-owned Rolex Datejust II 116300 Blue Sticks (with lume) I have asked the guy at the store to replace the dial with the Blue Azzuro Roman (no lume on the dial). I was then given the watch with the new dial but the watch hands still have the lume? Is this normal? Dose it seem weird? And will such action of replacing the dial reduce the value of the watch?

Thanks a lot!

That model does not have lume hands with the Azzuro Roman dial now its doubtful if Rolex would service a watch like that. Now that's unless it was brought back to factory spec so be warned, but plenty of independents ones that will.

Thanks folks for da reply. I understand that this module doesn't get manufactured with lume on the hands, but the guy at da store said it was alright. FYI, the watch still have 3 months warranty.

What do you think?

Best regards,

The hands are wrong! for that dial, put the blue stick with lume back on the watch.

Did you ask for the new hands or just the dial?

Well for one, your warranty is void.

I did the exact opposite. I bought the DJ2 with Aruzzo blue dial, but didn't like the readability in low light. I switched it to the blue dial with lime and love it. You have the wrong hands for that dial for sure

I actually really like the look of the Romans with the lume. I'd leave it if it were me. I think it looks great!

I almost got the Romans but went with the sticks. One of the main reasons was the lack of lume. I love the idea that you could have the Roman dial with the lume hands. Not sure if you've already had them changed out but you might want to try it as-is for a couple weeks before deciding. You might wind up liking it better this way.
