Icon5 Todays Rolex Nicknames in the Future....

so, today we've got batman, hulk, smurf etc... but will these names last?

in 20 - 30 years, will todays be known for the folks who wear them well and often today? will we call a dssd a charlize or a deepblue a james cameron or even a milgauss the aniston? with so many celebs and pop culture people having many watches in rotation, do any stick to one that will be known for them?

if you know the tom selleck, newman, mcqueen etc... you know what i'm getting at.

The Platona may become known as the Doctor or Tom.

Yes, I think these names will last since they have been around for a long time and any future growing up kids will know them.

The names will only not last if Marvel, DC, etc stops marketing them in all forms (movies, toys, comics, etc)

I can see the ad in about 15 years.

Daytona Platona 2013 for sale. Original owner Tom "Platoma" Kerr, the watch have some scars after a few races and handling.
Because of the history we will start low with $30 million as a starting bid.

Don't be shy to give a bid on a uinque watch and one of the first ones that was delivered in US.

Sadly, people are free to do as they will.

It demeans the brand to give a watch with the history, prestige and cost of a Rolex a comic book nickname.

Again, I ask, how many who seem to like nicknames, show off their watch by using that nickname?
