SS GMT IIC or TT YM Blue Dial?

My local AD has both of these watches available and I can't decide between them. I had a TT GMT IIC last year and loved it! I just have a couple of questions for the group:

1) Which one has a better resale value? I'll probably flip before a year is up.

2) Any thoughts on the versatility of the TT YM Blue as a daily watch? Is it too flashy to wear with jeans or shorts and a polo or to my corporate clients?

I appreciate any input and opinions you care to offer. I know the advice about which one "smiles" at me and so on. They both do so I'm trying to break the tie with some input on these issues.

Thanks,

Steve

I like SS for daily wear. It is more versatile. The GMT IIc is more in hot demand right now, so you may be able to flip it easier than the TT YM.

Thanks Tex. I was wondering about the resale because everyone talks about the limited availability of the SS GMT IIc but I'm not sure how rare the TT YM with the Blue Dial is. If it's as readily available as the white dial, then I suspect you are correct.

Well, resale has a lot to do with demand. If you plan on getting the YM, the SS/platinum YM is a lot more popular than the TT. All are great watches, no doubt.

Well, I'm an impatient man so I went back to the AD 1/2 hour ago and tried them both on. The GMT IIc won me over and I bought it. I'll post up a pic when I get home and have access to my digi camera.

Thanks for your help Tex.

GMT II-C is more manly to me. But I like YM too, but the platinum like JJ have.

I have a hard enough time restraining myself without all of your encouragement to buy the YM too. Ohhhh, the peer pressure!

At least they were willing to discount the YM but I didn't get anything off the GMT. Maybe if I could get them to 15% off . . . . . .

I'm going to chain myself to the desk now to prohibit further spending.

I would go with the SS GMT-C...that's the hot watch now and will be easier to flip.

Not a big fan of TT or the blue dial on the YM.
