Finally got to wear my explorer II
I received my explorer II on Tuesday and finally got the opportunity to wear it. I wore it Friday night, all of Saturday and today. Must say I'm totally in love with it.
I wore it to a friends BBQ Saturday night and got noticed by everyone. First comments were it's really nice and it doesn't look like a rolex. Followed by "it is real right?" Lol. number 2 question asked by every single person was "how much?" This question I was not really prepared to handle. I simply said "well you know" and left them hanging. One thing I did notice is how much my wrist swells when I drink beer. We had ribs, chips, dip and plenty of beer. While on my way home I felt a slight discomfort with the watch. When I got home I took it off and noticed the links were imprinted on my wrist. When I started the night you could fit a pencil in between my wrist and the watch. It was hot and muggy out but jeez. |

Congrats! Great piece.
I don't understand how you did not create an opportunity to wear it Tuesday night? Sounds like you have friends like mine. They know I love watches so they always have to check my wrist. Otherwise, I think your watch flies quite low on the watch radar! |

Not the beer doing the swelling it's all the salt in the ribs & chips that make you retain fluids and therefore swell.
Love my Explorer II it's the most under rated & under valued Rolex from the professional series and it deserves better

We're you able to use the easy link to give you a bit more room? It may not always be enough, but it sure helps me in the comfort department.

When asked how much by a man ask them how much do you earn, and by a woman how much do you weigh?

X2 The easylink works great for me when it's hot and humid and sometimes, when on a plane my wrist will swell a bit.

If I recall correctly, he's not allowed to wear it at work.

I'm sure the swelling was a combination of everything, food, alcohol, and heat.
That's correct Nathaniel cannot wear it to work but took full advantage over the weekend. I didn't take any pics over the weekend, simply because I didn't think about it and was too busy admiring it. As far as the ez link I have that sucker all they way out already |

Congrats on your new watch. Glad you finally got to wear it.
Just curious...which dial color did you get? I'm considering an Explorer II, but can't decide on which dial color. I like the white dial a bunch, but I need it to be somewhat 'stealth'. |

Another Houston guy with a recent Explorer II here! I was at the Dynamo match Friday night and it was hot and muggy, and definitely noticed my bracelet didn't have the free play it normally has. No beer or salty stuff either (I'm carb/gluten free) but the heat and humidity can really make a difference.

Definitely need to size it with the ez link closed so it's actually of value, unless of course you need extra links and you're using the ez link as a free substitute. If so, I would buy some links as the ez link feature is only surpassed in awesomeness by the glide lock!
