Why don't do students notice rolexs?

I wear my rolex when I go to class but not one person has acknowledged my watch.

Who cares. I wear a Rolex for me and that's all. I could care less if anyone ever notices.

That's a good thing IMO. Also, I don't wear or love watches for other people's sake, I wear them for me.

I think age group and social situation (are they friends or just acquaintances? Private school or public school?) are factors. The younger they are, perhaps the less inclined they will be to notice or care about things beyond their personal interests, desires and needs. We are more egocentric the younger we are as that is all we can really relate to. Many never grow out of this. Also general knowledge counts. Many don't know or care about certain brands.

In all honesty they may be oblivious. Finally there is the possibility that they notice discretely and just don't mention it.

In the end, as CWIN said, wear what you like because you like it. And don't take the opinions of others ....or lack there of, so seriously.

I have bad news for you... 99.99% of all adults student or not, will not notice your watch.

Buy for yourself, or not at all.

I didn't know what a Rolex was until after I graduated from college.

lol this thread was humorous right from the title.... has anyone noticed your watch yet? Last night I was pretty much inconsolable because I wore my EX2 all day and not one person mentioned it. Maybe ill attach a flashing beacon onto it so that people will be drawn to it.. now that I think of it, if I did that, maybe I could help ships find port in the fog. Dual purpose... sweet....

It is difficult to tell how often people actually notice your watch, regardless of what opinions are posted here.

Most people could care less if you're wearing a watch, whether it's a Timex or a Rolex. If you're wearing it to be noticed, IMO you're wearing it for the wrong reason.

If you want them to notice you, tape a $20 bill to your wrist.

Okay, maybe that was too harsh. It could be that they notice it but simply don't say anything to you. I noticed a co-worker wearing a Sub a couple years ago. It made an impression on me but I never said a word to him.

There are a lot nicer things to look at in a college class room than your wrist. Sounds like you're wearing a Rolex for the wrong reasons?

I was talking to a friend the other day for an hour or so. We went to my office and he noticed the Rolex catalog on my desk and asked if I was thinking about buying a Rolex...I was wearing my Explorer the whole time.

It's actually one of the things I like about my Explorer.

When I was a student, all I knew about Rolex was it was too expensive for me...and even then I only was aware of the DJ or Day Date models.

Outside of friends, I wouldn't have considered commenting on someone's watch in class even if I knew what it was.
