Icon17 mistake I think in movie American Hustle

I was watching the movie which I believe takes place in the late70'S. low and behold a modern GMT. I had to freeze frame it, am I wrong?

Good catch. What's weirder is that he actually wears a Rolex in real life that COULD pass for one from the era at a distance (16610).

Doesn't he wear an engraved 16610 from Chris Rock?
Won't repeat the supposed inscription, but LOL.

Yep, that's the one. CR gifted them to 5 people IIRC for helping him to write some material.

I think they were gifted SS 16610s. OP's pic looks like a gold GMT II

Sorry. Diverged from the OP.
The movie watch looks to be the 116718 } anachronistic to the nth degree

My subsequent comments were regarding Louis CK's real life Rolex.
Hence any confusion.

Good eye.

I remember watching an old episode of the TV series Combat. The person played by Vic Morrow was wearing a GMT-MASTER in one episode.

Kinda strange for a WWII show.
