Date just for wife. Jubilee or oyster bracelet

Finally got her interested in a decent watch. Looking to get 26mm TT datejust. Talking to David SW. He has a nice one with oyster. I was thinking the jubilee would be more feminine. This will be daily wear and she is hard on her stuff. I told her just wear it everyday and don't worry.

My wife was adamant - she feels that the Jubilee looks too old fashioned.

She loves her DJ 36mm white Romans on Oyster.

Personally I want a Jubilee for my old school GMT but the wifey really dislikes it.

Better have her try them on before you pull the trigger.

Nice combination shown in your picture. However, let her try them at AD, and let her decide. My wife chose oyster. You guys won't really go wrong with either of them.

my wife also thinks that size and jubilee is for old ladies, not that it is but I think so as well

if you went bigger the jubilee would look better

Take her to an AD and have her handle both. Thought my wife would want the jubilee because it is the more classic look on lady DJ but she was adamant that she did not like the look of it at all and preferred the oyster. You want to find out things like that before you purchase, not after.

My wife has a 31mm with jubilee. If yous is set on the 26mm the oyster is more sporty and youthful while the jubilee is more classic and established. 31mm and 36mm on women look best with jubilee IMO.

I know wives hate used jewelery, but there are lots of deals on 26mm, some with little use.

My wife has very small wrists and the jubilee fit her wrists better than the oyster. It appears to be more flexible on a smaller wrist.

Date just for wife. Jubilee or oyster bracelet

IMO Got to go with the jubilee here. I feel it looks better on a female wrist than oyster, unless we're talking about pearl master oyster.

Jubilee as that is a classic combination for the Datejust. It also hides scratches better than the Oyster from my experience.

I Like both, but I love the Jubilee a bit more. It's hard to know which she would prefer without trying them on really. One great thing is that the Jubilee will not show wear and scratches as easily as the Oyster would. That's a plus since you stated that she is hard on her stuff.

Also, I am not one that believes the 26mm TT Jubilee is too old fashioned or only for old ladies. I think the 26 TT is really elegant and beautiful on a lady. It's just a different look/style than the larger sizes.
The TT 26 is an elegant feminine watch IMO and would be a lovely gift. If she tries on the 26mm size and loves it, then get her that size ;)

YG TT 31 & 36 are way too much gold & bling for me to wear daily. It just depends on your personal style and what you feel comfortable wearing. When I tried on the two tone sizes, the TT 26mm looked much better on me than the TT 31mm.
I love the 31 in stainless, but I hated the 31 TT on me.

Take your time choosing, because you don't want to impulsively buy based on others opinions. Buy what you and your wife feel looks best on her, not what the current trends are ;)
I myself would never wear a 36 datejust, but it looks totally awesome on others.
In addition to personal style, wrist size and body shape also have a lot to do with how pleasing the watch size looks to your eye.

I have both in the 26mm, a TT jubilee and a stainless oyster. I like the jubilee with the TT, but that is just my opinion. I recently got a 31mm and was surprised that I liked the larger size. Depends on the watch and the woman's taste!

Exactly this. Went through the same process with my wife and she plumped for a TT 26mm with roman numerals on a MOP face and the jubilee strap. I have to say it's the most gorgeous piece. I wanted her to go 31mm but I'm glad she didn't - timeless elegance.

This is my wife's 31mm pink with Jubilee. I took her to the AD. She tried on everything they had. We ordered this combination.
She loves it

I like the jubilee. Feels a lot lighter than the oyster band & fits my wrist better. I don't worry about scratches because I cant see them. ;-)
