My Oysterquartz picked up from RSC

I just picked up my SS Oysterquartz from the RSC at Mexico City. The service I got from them was incredible and the watch looks as good as it did 24 years ago!

I was also happy to know that RSC at Mexico City will change battery and seals at no cost (just like RSC in the USA). Mine required a few more things, but I will be taking other OQs for a new hart soon!

Your OQ looks fantastic. Looking at it now, I find it's shape is ever so slightly reminiscent of an AP RO.....

Such a unique look, yet it still has that Rolex aura. That's a truly special timepiece. And good for you for giving such a fine home.

Thank you everybody for your comments. I have not wore an OQ in a while, it certainly has a unique weight, height and sound to it!

Here is the bill of labor (typed because it is in spanish):

A) general service, complete disassembly, cleaning and replacement of hour, minute and second hands. Lubrication, polish and shine of case and bracelet. New gaskets, tube and crown. $460 USD

B) new motor $450 USD

C) new regulator $100 USD

D) new sapphire crystal $110 USD

Very loose translation and exchange rate ($13 MXN to $1 USD).....priceless

Got mine serviced at RSC HK last year, and it only cost about 10% more than a comparable automatic. Some folks may recall they also replaced my open-6 date wheel, which I had to reclaim.

Mine was just a basic service/overhaul, with no replacements required and no polishing. US$380.
