My watch for life has arrived!

Yeah okay, it's yet another SS Submariner, but I've searched for about a year trying to find the perfect 16610 and this has exceeded my expectations. I am delighted, and have been dying to post some pictures and show it off, even though they are terrible camera phone ones (sorry).

Also, I have some paranoia that this isn't for real, and that I've bought a very good fake. So I'm keen to get the confirmation from those that know way more about them than I do. I don't see any red flags other than that I can't find any info on the retailer printed on the warranty paper, though I will of course take it to a jeweler to be inspected and appraised.

I can't wait to get links taken out today and start wearing this puppy!

Other than a new box being wrong for an older Sub, it looks great. Congratulations!

According to this thread, this is the right box for a D serial? Or is this guy wrong?

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=298692

Number on the bottom of the box matches exactly.

With a "D" serial number, it should be the newer box. Sorry, I missed the "D"!

Haha thanks! You're the 3rd or 4th to say that now, I've a sneaking suspicion you might be right.

All that, "watch for life", "searched for a year", "exceeded my expectations" and you ask if you bought a "good fake"...... I'm speechless

I think it is genuine. Excellent!!!

But you are correct, they make fakes so well that some of them look better than the real thing. Okay, maybe not that good, but they are getting close.

haha I was kind of thinking the same thing...never ceases to amaze me how people drop several thousands on a watch and THEN ask if its real...wtf?
