Gotham Rolex...

Anyone watching Gotham??
I love this show...
On tonight's episode Alfred gives young Bruce Wayne Bruce's Father's watch...
A non-logo-Ed Rolex sub-c
Bruce then uses it to beat up a bully...

Awesome scene...
Clearly no Rolex product placement...as the dial was missing the crown and name... But even my wife exclaimed... That's a Rolex!!!

Anyone else catch that?

Yep, saw it and the show is starting to grow on me. That said thank god Alfred had the sense to use a rolex and not a patek phillipe. A patek would have needed a 6 month trip to switzerland for service after that beating.

I believe the original was "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking" but your fits better. (Timex?)

Yeah, it was meant to be the Timex tagline in reverse. Or whatever.

Saw it as well and even paused it to get a closer look.

Wasn't sure if it was legit or not after seeing the PCL's.

Regardless, great scene.

Saw it. I'd have worn the watch and used a roll of quarters.

I also saw the episode and had to pause it to take a longer look. I thought it might be a fake especially after seeing the bracelet with the PCLs. Great show that I look forward to seeing every week.

Think it's a fake/homage - no engraving on the rehaut.

didn't James Bond once have a Rolex across his knuckles and used it to smash a baddie ?
iirc it was well before Omega & JB franchise
