Your most beaten-up Rolex?

My 10yr old DJ has taken some punishment over the years, and unless you are checking it out up-close you wouldnt really notice. What kind of condition is everyone's "worst" but still functional (ie no broken crystal or whatever) Rolex in? Lets see your photos! Im going into the office later to nick a camera, and get my photos up.

I really don't have any beaten up Rolies but the ones that are most scratched are my GMT and the OP.

I love that Oyster Perpetual of yours, Ron! So classic and minimalistic!

I for my part don't use my Rolex watches as "beaters".

Looking forward to seeing the photos.

Marshall 47 - they're some nice shots of your watches and I agree with Bo, the OP looks great, with uncluttered, clean lines - very nice.

Eddie, are those Kangaroos, or part of JJ's hareem that you're about to plunder?

I had to look twice - I thought you were about to serenade them with a violin!!

Good questions Neil
In answer to the thread, I haven't got any beaten up watches at the moment.
But I did have a Sub for several years, so that was probably mine

Eddie, are you at a 3D shoot in those pic's? Speaking of hurting an animal, only one of those arrows would have HURT, and four would have been a sure KILL!!

THAT's the old DJ I mentioned in this thread where I stated that I had seen an old DJ with a fluted WG bezel where the white gold had actually started wearing off.

No extraordinary things, like climbing Mount Everest, but eleven years of as good as daily use, in all situations.

Battle scars and fond memories -- it is good to see that people wear these watches like they were intended to be. I haven't had mine in for service yet, but from what I gather here on the forum it will come back near-brand new looking. That's good enough for me!

This thread has reassured me.

My Sub is one month old and I have just spotted the first tiny scratch on the polished case at 9 o'clock. It's no doubt the first of many as I always intended this to be my daily watch. But how the hell did it happen? That's the irritating thing.

Oh well it's there now until service...

Pretty cool! At first I thought you were shooting the animals (look like sheep?) in the background.

Nice job, Jocke. It's nice to see some watches on this forum that work for their living.

Here's mine

She's as old as I am and fully service but unrestored (just like me too!). I know some of you don't like the Nato straps but I wear it on one to differentiate from my SEL SD.

Cheers - Simon

I am not joking - if that watch still works, and still looks as busted as it does there, I want it!!! I think rocking a totally mangled Rolex would be the epitome of irony.

My Rolexes are in pretty good condition, the ones that have the most surface scratches (from desk diving and normal wear) are my Explorer 1 and my Sea-Dweller.
