For those parents who have "elf on the shelf".

I propose to share ideas here to keep the whole routine fun. Is anyone interested?

Elf is a little doll that hangs around your house and flies back to the North Pole every night to tell santa how your heathen offspring are acting. He looks like this:

Your kids love him so you need to come up with a new pose every day which, after a few Xmas seasons, becomes tiring. So parents text each other things like this (not cool for kids):

You try and find new hiding spots, poses etc for elf. Hence this thread. I thought it would be a good idea to share some ideas. I've seen some incredibly creative stuff online and thought this would be a good medium to save our sanity.

Ahh ok. Thanks for the explanation. Have a friend who wants me take hers so I can get pics on an aircraft....that explains the posing and alternate locations.

I got my niece & nephew that 2 yrs ago. My nephew thought it was a girl elf, named her Ellie. LMAO The original doesn't look very butch. ;-) Last month I mentioned to the kids they have to be good cause Santa will be sending one of his elves to come down to watch. My brother & sister in law both gave me a dirty look. LOL My brother said after they'll bring out the elf a couple weeks before Christmas cause finding hiding spots for it every day was a pain in the a$$. Its been on the TV, on the top of the fridge, on picture frames, in between the stair railings, & inside the wreaths. LOL My niece loves to take all the pots out & play with them. Drives my brother bonkers. So he put the Elf in one of the pots. Freaked her out & she never went near them all winter.
Have fun with it.
