Would you give up 3 of these for the smurf?
I'm considering the smurf from our trusted seller. Unfortunately I'll have to part with at least 3. Thoughts? How does Rolex 18k WG hold up to SS?
Thanks |

It would but depends which three. I'd keep the Daytona since you're getting a sub to replace the TT. I say go for it. I got rid of an explorer ii, Seadweller and pamerai for the YG GMT and haven't looked back.

I would keep the daytona and move the other 3 on if doing the deal. But in truth I probably would not do it.

The Smurf is a exceptional looking Submariner. Furthermore nothing feels better than gold on your wrist everyday.
However, I would suggest you to keep the Daytona and GMT II, they are irreplaceable. My suggestion is to trade off the other 2 and top up the balance. Cheers.

No I'd stay where you are except possibly trade the Omega for a Polar Explorer to add a white dial to your line up :)

Absolutely not. Your collection is magnificent in its current state.

As much of a grail the 116619 is for me, I wouldn't, by trading you are loosing quite a lot of money. I would hold out and save for the 116619, you'll feel so much better about it.
Best of luck! Dino

If I were you I wouldn't. The black side of the moon is beautiful omega. And giving up a GMT, two tone Sub and the Omega is not worthi it in my opinion.

If you really want the smurf then just do it. I would keep the BLNR and trade the others. Good luck with your choice.

Yes I would, the more I hang around this forum the more I realise this hobby inexorably, inevitably leads to PM. One wrist, one PM watch... You have reached enlightenment!

You have a nice collection...saying that I would trade for the WG SUB.
1. Sell the TT SUB....you're trading up 2. Sell the BLNR GMT2c....easily replaceable 3. Most will disagree.....Sell the Daytona...you can always get an all gold/platinum Daytona down the road...they have better dial combinations than just white or black. That will give the WG SUB and an all ceramic perfect 9300 Omega. But if you don't like the Omega....keep the BLNR GMT2c.

I would. As long as you were left with one of the SS Rolex models.

You want to trade three Rolexes for one that will look like stainless steel, but will be much less durable? I would say no.

If you want to move your collection towards PM, then yeah, why not? But then prepare to smash your piggy banks, because the road will become very slippery Quite a few guys on this forum (not including me, sadly) went all PM about Rolex, and never looked back.

Very reluctantly...yes. But with that collection I'd keep the DOSTM and the GMT2c and save for the rest.
If absolutely three must go then I'd keep the Daytona, but depending on lifestyle it could sway towards the GMT2c. |

With those, I would keep the Omega, and trade the other 3 Rolex for the blue w/g sub.
