New to me GMT Master II

Yesterday I received my first Rolex, a GMT Master II model 16713. From the serial number it was made in 2000, first sold Feb. 1st 2001. Came with box, manuals, certificate, retail tags and cleaning cloth.

I am a bullion dealer, so I am almost ashamed to admit how little it cost me from another dealer, after seeing online prices from $6,000 to $7,000. I like buying wholesale!

I love watches, never leave the house without one, my favorites being a Seiko quartz dress with a blue face and a Seiko quartz pilot's chronometer (also with a blue face). I think I have about 12 or so in working condition, but nothing near as expensive as this. My most expensive is a Citizen gold and stainless dress watch that was $495.

I wanted a Rolex Submariner two tone with the blue face and bezel for a long time. Because of the price, I have not purchased one, although I have an Invicta that is a dead ringer for it, I think it cost me $100. One day I will have the real thing...

Just thought I would share, very pleased to join the club.

Mark

What Larry didn't tell you is that when he takes a cruise to Hawaii, he goes by way of the Azores.
