Convice me N to buy this...
Oopps fat finger.
The title should be: convince me NOT to buy this.... I'm thinking about get this YG GMT but before I pull the trigger, I just want to make sure I've considered all the perspectives of owning a full yellow gold Rolex. So I'd like to you to convince me not to buy this. |

Try it out, if you don't like yellow gold, go with white gold. WG is very understated, which I like.
Take the money you'd spend on it and buy a couple of SS Rolexes.

I had a friend who bought that exact model, the next day his wife left him for an older woman, his dog left him to live with a litter of kittens and he got hit by a car... In conclusion, bad watch... Don't do it!

I'll be 100% honest and share my opinion here.
I have the GMT 116718 and haven't worn it in 4 years. I don't find it to be a well balanced watch. I personally feel that the GMT and Subs work best in steel. I am sure my opinion isn't popular but I think that in solid gold the best way to go is DD, DD2 or Daytona. |

That, my friend, is one of, if not THE top precious metal sports watches Rolex makes. I can not, in good faith, steer you away from it. Sorry.
Oh, the WG and green dial variants are equally as amazing, so feel free to pick any of them, you literally can't go wrong. |

I mean it is a bold watch specialy if it is yellow gold. Get a SS or white gold if you want to be more discrete.

Upon purchasing the YG GMT-M2 you will become like Archie. It will scream to all your peers "Get the f**k out the way, maggots". Everyone will take you seriously, you will become a monster when that gold GMT is on your wrist, and guess what? That GMT will be fused to your wrist.
Friends, family, and acquaintances will avoid you, your pets will dream of running away from home or mauling your wrist in order to detach the piece of metal that controls you. The price of this piece will also financially cripple. In conclusion...BUY IT! |

Don't do it Mark!
But like others have mentioned in place of the YG GMTii black dial the order of my preference would be: 1. WG Pepsi 2. WG Sub 3. YG GMTii but with the green anniversary dial |

Perspectives? Well... Hard to fly under the radar with a full YG watch. You lose quite a bit on depreciation _if_ you buy it close to MSRP. It's expensive, it's quite heavy, and it scratches easier than the SS GMT IIC. That's it. If none of those convince you to change your mind, then go for it
(clarification: the YG GMT IIC is my favorite YG watch, so I'm not exactly the right person to try and talk you out of it )
