Is this standard AD BS?

I was told by an AD that if I purchased a Rolex out of the United States, ie. while on a cruise in the Caribbean, that I could not have it serviced at Rolex NY or Dallas? They claim it can only receive "official" service through Switzerland. I am assuming this is another ploy to try and push one into purchasing from them.....correct?

Yes, pure BS. A Rolex warranty is internationally recognized at any Rolex Service Center. Just have the warranty card handy if any work is required within the 2-year warranty period.

+ 1. In the past, they had on the back pages of the manual the RSC around the world.

So, its all BS.

It is not okay with me that a representative of Rolex can be allowed to lie about the product.

No better than Car Dealerships. I had a deal to trade my wife's SL63 on a GL550 CPO she wanted. Literally got to the signing part and they mentioned under their breath that to meet my price they would remove the certified pre owned warranty. That was a priority I had been harping on for weeks other than not wanting Black.

Amazing how people can be so dumb and either:

A: Not Care out of ignorance
B: Think people are stupid

I would be embarrassed to lie like that. It is called self respect and character

I really dislike when salespeople say anything, like that rubbish, to try to make a sale. If that was just ignorance then they need to learn that saying "let me check on that for you" is ok. StaceeJaxx, that deal with the MB dealer would infuriate me. Enough to where I would stand my ground and make them include it or I walk.
When I looked at all of the lux brands CPO programs I was not overly impressed by MB program. But that was several years ago and we were Lexus people at the time.

If I were you and given of course you have the time on your hand, I would make another trip out to the AD. Make sure this looney is on duty, ask for the manager and confront him in front of this manger. But again, this is just me

A fair amount of my Rolexes were bought out of the country. When it came to warranty service work, NY service center requested my sales receipt along with my warranty card.

Has anyone been denied warranty service because they could or would not produce a sales receipt? Dated and stamped warranty card is all that is required as I understand. I may have received the watch as a gift as far as RSC knows.
