We know your watch but who uses prescription eye glasses and what are they?

I have a couple of gucci prescription glasses (can't tell time without my glasses on) so who wears what?

Whatever my wife picks out for me, pretty much like the rest of my wardrobe . Good thing I only have to use them for reading.

REIZ for eyeglasses with Zeiss lenses, but wear contacts 80% of the time. Have a pair of Morel Lunettes for those lazy days. I like nicely made frames, worth the extra effort IMHO.

Aspex frames with Nikon Eyes Transitions progressive lenses. All the coatings, of course.

Great comfortable frames that are bendable and have magnetic dark clip-ons for driving.

The Nikon Eyes lenses are the best I've ever owned with the widest reading channel that I've ever had on a set of lenses. They were the best available at the time, which was about a year and a half ago.

The lenses get dark fast and go clear fast and of course the colder it is the darker they get, so now with temps at or below freezing all day, they're extremely dark.

I really don't want someone's name on my eyeglasses. Aspex are top quality and look good.

I'd like these to last the rest of my life, but alas, they won't.

I really like my Silhouette frameless and hingeless glasses. They are so light that I hardly ever feel them, the tension hold them in place if I slide them up on to my head to see something close and there's no distracting frame to my field of vision.
Pretty affordable too.

These suckers.
Frames and lens are very expensive here.
From memory, when I bought these several years ago, the frames were A$700. and the lens A$400.(progressives)
I just replaced the lens with a A$400. set from a 'budget' outfit as the 'top' optometrist wanted over A$700. (can't really notice much difference in quality)
Interested to know how costs compare with USA & UK.

Barton Perreira frames with progressive lenses. Rock, $1000 approx, seems to be the going rate for quality.

Serious lenses here are going to cost $400+ a pair.

Frames, well, the sky's the limit, but I've never paid more than $200 for a pair, but I like simple, flexible, wire-frames--Marchon and Aspex are what I've been wearing for about 20 years.

My Zeiss lenses were a bit on the high side and I was very skeptical at first... until I put them on my face when I got them. I honestly didn't think the eye could see so sharply... I was blown away. I'm sure the Nikons are just as good. Glass is everything. Frames are completely subjective of course.

I'll have to check out Zeiss next time. I get my prescriptions filled at Sam's and I think they had Zeiss, too. I'll be due for an exam on a few months, so I need to start some research now.

I have no problem spending extra bucks for good vision. When you consider what people spend on HDTV, the price of a pair of specs is miniscule.

Absolutely! Seeing well is precious... Zeiss has a fancy computer aided machine that matches your pupils to the curvature of the lens prescription perfectly. Unlike the usual eye measurements with a plastic tool you get most of the time, hoping the optician assistant is doing it correctly, let alone gives a damn.

That's the method that Nikon uses. I'm still going to check out Zeiss, though.

I figured Nikon would use something special too. Such a great company. I'll check out Nikon's lenses while you check out the Zeiss. I honestly didn't know Nikon offered them.

Man, I'm listening to Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen's "I'm On Fire"... Such a great song and lyrics.

Wow, that's a great price. Did they come with box and papers?

I LOVE glasses!! It's worse for me than shoes!!
Luckily my Rx hasn't changed in forever, so I have between 10 and 15 current pairs (4 are RX sunglasses) AND I'm fortunate to have good vision insurance, because I always get the best of the best available and each pair would cost me way over $800 if it wasn't for insurance!
