Dinged My Watch On The Lug Question.....

I dinged my GMT on my seat belt in the car the other day heard the noise but didn't think anything of it or notice until today. In the pic below it is on the lug and is very small the pic makes it look 'deeper' than it really is. Can this be polished out at service time or will it take something more? Thoughts?

Don't worry, next service will take care of it.

Hate it when that happens, it's not too deep though. I've seen pics of much worse coming back from service and you'd never know it, I wouldn't sweat it.

If my dented lug can be fixed, that surely can...more will come. Enjoy the watch and have it fixed come service time...

Those sharp edges on the ceramic Subs and GMTs look great but show little nicks and dings sooo easily... it's funny how the polished and rounded cases on the Daytona, YM, DJ, etc mask those little marks much more easily.

I have tons of those, just don't worry about it and enjoy the watch

in 7-10 years when it goes in for service it will come back like new

the less you worry about the small stuff the more enjoyable the watch will become

I have basically the same mark in the same spot (along with some small ones on the other lugs). I hit mine under the faucet on a sink in a hotel room... It will be polished out no problem at service time.

Edit: This picture makes it seem like there is a MASSIVE ding... it's not, its hardly noticeable at arms length...

something similar happened to my sub in the car on my seat belt - makes you think how soft this steel is - but yeh enjoy it - the vids I have watched of before and after service are amazing - i was suprised how a watch can be overhauled and come back looking brand new (for a handsome fee of course)

The seat belt retracting in my Prius nicked my Sub three times and RSC removed them at service when I had to send it in for a shattered crystal.

This is what it looked like when it returned.
