Greetings to all. I am a longtime lurker, first time poster. Please allow me to compliment all of you on an excellent forum. I've really enjoyed the absolute wealth of information available here. TRF is a fantastic resource with a real sense of community.

Anyway, I've been wanting to pull the trigger on my first Rolex purchase. I've been looking at Air Kings, Dates, and OPs.

A user named "paneraiwatchers" has an m serial 114600 white dial for sale for $2200. Seems too good to be true. I found the posting on watchrecon.

I emailed him and he responded with a few sketchy references and the name is allegedly "Sam P" and the email is [email protected]. says he'll do PayPal but wants a gift.

Has anyone ever heard of this guy? I've searched this forum and others and found not much.

Feel feee to tell me what I already know - not to do it and buy from DavidSW.

Sam p is a very nice guy,i bought a rolex wristwatch from him few months ago and deal went smoothly, he delivers so deal with confidence.

We banned fastime007 at WUS back in December along with his other aliases: philwatches, Kenwright128, Fredbracelet, Smartsmith360, and Bladwristy.

Looks very dodgy.
I wouldn't listen to the advice of anyone who gives a reference as their first post on the forum, nor for that matter necessarily someone who has many posts...
Just because someone says another is reliable is not good enough to go paying money over in good faith...

People get scammed every day. Who knows if this is a scam, but it sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
