Sub 16610 V 168000 which one?
I am after a SS Sub date either a16610 (pre 2002 or when ever the lug hopes disappeared or a 168000 (1987-88 transition model) which would you get and why?
A small part of me wants it as a long term investment but I know which ever I get in 5 years time will be worth more than I paid anyway |

I would get the older one, love those matte dials and the older ones are much less common.

16610 would be my way to go. Both are similar watches but I would prefer a watch newer..

In spite of extremely low production numbers, the 168000 has never really got traction as a collectible. If the potential for future appreciation beyond just the rate of inflation is a concern, you might check out the matte dial 16800's which are also transitional (matte dial with sapphire crystal). Otherwise, just enjoy the wider selection of watches encompassed by the 16610 reference.
