INCOMING! La Grande Classique
Since picking up an AP for my gf early last year, I have just about done the impossible and gotten her pretty interested with watches (although I have not achieved such success with cars). We've worked on a budget, and have narrowed it down to either 1) lady datejust OR 2) lady reverso. My gf is petite, and most boy sized watches won't fit her, btw.
While I personally prefer the datejust, she is keen on getting a watch with a leather band, so she has set her mind on pulling the trigger on the reverso. Not a bad choice, and that really is up to personal preference. Since I know she was keen on buying one with a leather strap, and since I cannot afford a reverso (what with the Swiss Franc separating from the Euro, annual price increase, and soon-to-be implementation of GST here), I did the next best thing and bought her... a watch that fit her requirements! This is a Longines Womens La Grande Classique. Quartz, 24mm dial, 5mm case thickness, black alligator strap... and I think a very clean dial. Luckily for me, the gf agrees and loves this! In fact, she is replacing this with the Seiko 5 as her daily watch! Now, with this sorted, I hope she will go for the datejust |

INCOMING! La Grande Classique
If momma is happy, everyone is happy. Nice looking watch. My local Rolex AD dumped Tissot a couple years ago for Longines. Probably a good move for them as they do look more elegant in the case next to the Sport watch theme of Rolex.

Beautiful dial and the black hands compliment the dial very nicely!
