Question on how to open Rolex box that seems fused shut after 2 years in closet?
Before, I use brute force and try to pry open the inner box, any ideas or suggestions on how to open it as it seems fused shut after 2 years in sitting in my closet?
Thanks! |

Ive delt with this same issue many many times !! it sucks :( press the box up against your chest with the opening away from you, Then PuLL PULL PULL as hard as you can.. This usually works for me.... I would also suggest you put a silicone pack in the box...
where should i leave my 2 pennies ?? |

I've had that happen to me as well. If I don't have that foam separator it comes with, I insert a paper tower in between when storing.

Maybe try warming it up with the hair dryer and see if that helps.

Thanks! I'm going to try the low heat dryer later. Please let me know if that's destructive within the next hour.

They are much better than the red Omega boxes. They just decompose all over your closet!

I've had this happen as well .... Try to "wiggle" the lid in a left to right motion simultaneously as you gently open the lid.
Good luck |

Yeah, fishing line works. Better than the crowbar I used to use.

I learned the hard way I forced one open once and big pieces of the green paint peeled off of the box.
Now I do what Mike said. Put either the cloth that comes in the box or something else between the lid. |

Freeze, then hair dryer one part but not the other. Just sayin'
Fishing line also sounds like a plan.

Thanks! I finally got it open after trying all the methods. I think the low heat on dryer was what did the trick. There seems to be some glue residue near the edge of the hinge that caused it to bind shut.

I put toilet paper in between, as well as on the outside of the green box before putting it into the rolex cardboard box as the outside of the green box has almost welded itself to the cardboard in some instances for me.

I used paper towels on all my boxes and just about ruined them.. The paper towels stuck to the boxes. Not a good idea on my part.

Unable to open Rolex BOX
I just successfully opened my Rolex BOX.
I used a low heat air dryer then finish it off with high heat. I then press the edges until I started to feel separation. The box opened without applying force. Good luck |
