First Rolex purchase: Sub 11610LN
The Submariner (with date) 11610LN is my first Rolex (and luxury watch) purchase. I know many of you may be bored with this purchase since it's so common and safe but I chose it for a solid first high end watch.
I own it now for about a week; I love it so far. It is really a beautiful piece and has grown more and more on me now that I have my own, not just AD's that I took for a 5-minute test drive. Oddly enough, the only "issue" that has come up with this watch is wearing it with brown loafers/dress shoes. I think a black watch and brown shoes clash. Am I crazy and/or wrong? Just curious, not a fashion guru but don't want to clash either... Also, next watch purchase when funds allow will probably be Explorer II 216570. Sub 11610 and Explorer polar 216570 a good combo? |

Congrats on your first and welcome to TRF! A safe choice, but still a stunner. And anything goes well with the polar ExpII! Congrats again!!

You should wear it with flippers not shoes.

Looks great and if anyone tells you your watch doesn't match your shoes, avoid them as they are cray cray. Sub's a great craydar.

I have a friend who's a firm believer that the colour of the watch/strap should match that of the belt and shoes.
Not me though! |

Congrats, can't go wrong with a sub!
I own, mostly, brown drivers/loafers. I never wear black anything. And usually have a sub on. They go well together. Enjoy!
