Any experience with AD in Los Angeles area?
I live in the San Gabriel Valley part of LA, CA. I'm looking to buy my first Rolex in about a year or so, and would like to know if anybody's got any experiences with AD in this area. What I'd like to know most is if any discounts of MSRP are given or if any are willing to negotiate, or if they're all charging sticker price. Thanks

Try Hing Wa Lee. I've gotten two rollie's from them (although it was their irvine and rowland heights store). i believe it's in the focus plaza.

Welcome to TRF, Dave!
Getting a discount depends on the size of the AD outlet, what model you want to buy, if he has more than one of the same model in stock, your negotiatian skills and last but not least the payment method (cash seems to help). Most sport's Rolex watches in SS would not be discounted, at all. If you want a Rolex in TT (steel and gold), the AD's make more profit on those, so you should be able to get 15 %+ discount. If you desire a Rolex in precious metal (all gold or even Platinum), perhaps with a diamond dial, you're looking at discounts of typically 20 %+. Best of luck!

purchased a lady's DJ at Hing Hua Lee about 1.5 years ago and got discount, about 20% off on a ladies TT. I recently went to check out some stuff and the new manager wasn't too eager to give me a discount.

Hing Wa Lee is a Chinese ran AD so culture wise they discount. However the way they do it is to raise the price about $1000.00 over MSRP and then offer you a discount making newbie buyers think they are saving money but they are not. You might be able to save about $100-$200 at best on a stainless sports watch, maybe..

That could also be the case.
Does anyone know the retail price for a ladies DJ in TT with champagne dial back in July 2006? The prices at Hing Hua Lee, all have added sales tax. |

never been to the HWL in SG, but here in Irvine and Rowland Heights about 2-3 yrs ago. I got a 15% discount on my GMT-II and around the same for my dad's DJ. Cash speaks wonders though with a chinese store. I had to bring my Chinese friend to get that discount. LOL
