Is this beat up GMT Master worth 12k? (!)
So here's a broken Rolex, currently bidding at about $12k:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1960...item4d2e1c64da Worth it? Seems like it should be going for maybe $1.5k unless I'm missing something... |

Nope! Pass. Unless there is something absolutely amazing and unique that we are unaware of. I see there are 34 bids. WOW! Not sure why this is.

Looks like a diamond in the rough.
Pointed crown guards, gilt chapter ring, small hand. Case looks thick. Wonder what the cleaned-up version is worth?

SOLD for 15k. I expected it to fetch 17k, but eBay has been soft as of late with the global economy hurting while USD is on the rise..

Yes it is a collector's piece! Some of you should visit the vintage section when you have time and review some of the threads. There is a lot of info there on some of these vintage watches, especially the GMTs and Subs.

The case looks mighty fine! Definitely needs a service by someone else than RSC, new or preferably a vintage bracelet.
