It's fine. My LV changes 2minutes after and my newly acquired Ball diver is about 2 minutes prior. I noticed it may change sooner with more aggressive movement.

Don't stress it. If it's dark and after 12, you should know it's the next day ;)

From Rolex's own standards, this is not acceptable. On all the Rolex date models, the date should change over between 1 1/2 min before 12 AM and 2 min after 12 AM. Anything before and after that is not acceptable. Rolex's own words. Not mine :)

This is correct, strange that people consider a few minutes either way acceptable. 4 minutes out is basically the equivalent of a watch gaining 25 seconds per day.

Tolerances are more relaxed for the older movements and manual winds.

It's all based on the position the hands were installed at.

To fix it you would need to decase the movement and reposition the minute hand.

If it's worth it to you it can be fixed. Personally I would wait until the next service as anytime a watch is disassembled you run the risk of other problems being created. If it doesn't effect the functionality of it I would forget it.

But I'm usually asleep way before midnight!
