New watch owner needs help getting minute/hour hand to move
Problem: my watch had stopped after I didn't wear it a few days. When I resent the time, the second hand is moving, but the hour and minute hands aren't moving. They move freely when watch is in the time adjust position, but won't "tell time" even though the second hand is moving.
Anyone have any tips or do I need to take it in? The closest place to have it serviced is over two hours away, so if it's something simple I'm not doing, please help. |

The hands are all geared together. If the seconds hand is moving but nothing else then a gear has either broken or become disengaged somehow.
