Saw this red sub on the Bay in Oz

Saw this red sub on the Bay in Oz from a zero feedback seller, wondering if it's original! Seller states the dial as refinished, what gives it away as refinished?

Zero feedback Cru, and a deal too good to be true.
And you already own a full set red no?

There is no way of evaluating that dial properly from such a small picture.
Ask seller for macro shots of the lume and if he can provide then this would also prove he has the watch.
No Paypal and only bank transfer is a great worry!!!

Cheers mate, thanks, still have mine:). Just found it a very strange listing especially since red subs don't appear on Oz ebay:)

Seller says the case is unpolised which is clearly not the case, this togther with the refinished dial would put me off.

If the watch was really a 1971 as claimed, the case back should have something like "II 71" as well as the 1680 engraved...they stopped marking them in late 1972....

The crown should be a twin-lock as well....

This may be a put-together watch....

Be very cautious....

Well if refinished than better than 99% of the refinished dials I've seen.
