Which one?
If you could have one of these at no cost (I know, unlikely, but play along), which would you prefer?

Tough call. I'd have to go with the BLRO, I think.

I've been thinking about this alot myself. Right now I'd lean towards the 116619LB. It's a tough call though!

interesting question. I sometimes wonder that myself. I am a fan of the GMT function, which I often use. But, on the other hand, blue in that sub is so gorgeous.
But again on another hand they both use movements that are available in SS models. At that price point I would prefer something more horologically exclusive. So, while I really like both, I would vote neither. Adding couple of AD wristshots for discussion ... |

WOW! Look at the date magnification on that BLRO. I would be unhappy if I paid ~ $40k for that watch.

I voted blue Sub, but they are both great! Diracpoint raises a good point about the movements at that price point. Then again, when service time comes around, your wallet won't suffer.

LB for me.
But since I really am not a fan of rotating bezels, I would take the BLRO, since it is more expensive, and sell it! |

Blue Sub. :-)
** please reduce the BLRO # by 1. LOL Poll #'s are not in the same order as they are written in your post. I voted for the wrong one ( & too fast to click). |

LB more beautiful IMO even though the other is a beauty also, but not for me, since I wear Patek I like light and thin watches, that's why with the money to buy both watches you inquire about I got myself 2 SS Patek but of course with complications, one with annual calendar, moon phase and 24h display, the other with power reserve, moon phase.
They are a real pleasure to wear like no other of my previous watches, really and they're so classy, plus prices go up not bad, got both at prices not long ago that would be almost impossible to find now |

If you get one of these 2 be sure to buy it right or you will loose 40% of the value as soon as you have it, so 25% discount minimum is indispensable IMO for a precious metal Rolex or from other brands, the only precious metal pieces that practically don't loose money are Patek, I got 25% off on my Daytona 116515 so only lost 2K when I flipped it, can imagine if I had bought at retail price

I voted LB. I'm not sold on the shade of red used on the BLRO. I like the blue of the smurf however.

I have voted LB because I absolutely love the colour blue. That's what it would come down to with me if I ever had the chance to decide between the two. Both are amazing pieces.
